Community Meetings

Come join us!

Whether you are a member or not, all are welcome to attend our public community meetings. The meetings provide a forum for local mental health service providers, information and an opportunity to meet others also interested in forwarding the cause of improved public welfare and disassembly of stigma.

Time: 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Look for the building with the clock tower.
Parking is available in the lot in front of the building. The building is secure, so you will have to knock on the door so security staff can let you in.

Most of our monthly meetings feature speakers, people who bring a wealth of information about mental health to the community. Past speakers have included:

  • Family members
  • Medical care providers
  • People living with their own illness
  • Researchers

Keynotes: Ryan Quist, PhD and the Director of the Sacramento County Division of Behavioral Health

Monday, February 10th

Keynote: Rosemary Younts, Senior Director, Dignity Behavioral Health Services will share information about the recently opened Crisis Stabilization Unit at Mercy San Juan.

Monday, March 9th

Keynote: Maggie Merritt, Executive Director of the Steinberg Institute will be there to share her story of recovery and how it led to becoming an advocate for mental illness.
