Community Meetings

Come join us!

Whether you are a member or not, all are welcome to attend our public community meetings. The meetings provide a forum for local mental health service providers, information and an opportunity to meet others also interested in forwarding the cause of improved public welfare and disassembly of stigma.

7:00 – 8:30 pm

Most of our monthly meetings feature speakers, people who bring a wealth of information about mental health to the community. Past speakers have included:

  • Authors
  • Family members
  • Medical care providers
  • People living with their own illness
  • Researchers

Late 2020 Meetings:

September 9/14/20 Bridgette Dean, LCSW with the City of Sacramento, sharing about their new department  Office of Community Response. This department will be charged to respond to mental health calls rather than the police department.
October 10/12/20 Angela Brand, Vice President of Strategic Engagement for NAMI CA, will discuss the new Center for Applied Research Solutions (CARS).  CARS is a  statewide effort that will provide training, technical assistance (TTA), and resource dissemination. NAMI CA is one of five partners on the project.
November 11/9/20 Erika Prasad and Vince Gallo with Loaves and Fishes, discussing their various programs and how they benefit the community.
December 12/14/20 Lynda Kaufman, with Psynergy Inc sharing about all their new programs/locations in the county.
